(Is it me, or I've been submitting way too many scraps for my Gallery's good lately...?
*EDIT*: "unscraped" on 's request, as seen here (SPANISH only, alas))
A little, spontaneous sketch I drew for , who's been under a respectable amount of - in my opinion, perfectly normal senior year - stress as of late (as you can see here). The (RATHER TIRED-LOOKING) water-dragon depicted in the picture is Haraan, the main character in Hyun's "Heritage" saga.
This picture has a little backstory to it as well: after commenting on Hyun's aforementioned journal entry and learning of his sudden "stress attack", and encouraged by the chance of holding an art trade (an experience I've found rather satisfactory, despite my current lack of free time), I decided I needed to practice his favorite character's head before diving head-first into a potentially uncomfortable mix of inexperience + little time to turn in something relatively good (I used this picture as a reference for the horns). After finishing with it, I gave in to the temptation of drawing the rest of the body (the fact I ran out of space and couldn't draw the critter's dorsal frill complete should be enough proof to show that I didn't quite know what I was doing at the time... ); all in all, I must say I'm pleased with the way this turned out, even if the snout and the headfins gave me a bit of a hard time.
Poor stressed out Hyun. Poor tired dragon. Awww, its fins are cute!

Just goes to show that there's no rest even under the sea XD You did wonderfully with his dorsal frill, in my opinion, and I really like how his flippers came out, too. His entire body appear nice and solid, too I can't stop grinning at this. Seriously, Alle, you took a pretty hectic week and made it all the more better! Gracias, amigo.

You think those're cute flippers? Perhaps, perhaps, but the original are MUCH more adorable, in my opinion...
And I'm guessing a bit of Red Bull would do wonders for the wearied-out sea-reptile thing... X)

You think it's that good, Foggy? (I first assumed its sketchy looks made it "scrap section"-worthy)
If I have enough free time before Friday, I'll go and do some touch-ups to it. Even if I'm getting new ideas now; ideas that demand their "deserving" 4 minutes of fame... argh! My imagination just NEVER leaves me alone!
(All in all, I hope I never grow out of this... )

They are cute too. Also, I agree with Fogllama . It would make a nice addition to your gallery with a little postproduction

He's a wise Llama, EB. He knows many many things... alas, the fact I just CAN'T draw a good underwater scenes isn't among those.
