El Buen Libro

Un muy (¡muy!) retrasado regalo de cumpleaños que hice para : felizmente, él es consciente que he estado, en estos últimos tiempos, locamente ocupado (¡el combo clásico de "Trabajo + Maestría" es bien conocido...!).

Para aquellos que no lo saben (aún), permítanme decirles que hizo un grandioso dibujo como un regalo de cumpleaños para mí, que podrán encontrar aquí. Encontré el tema bastante intrigante, ello sin mencionar que el hecho que fuese básicamente una referencia a una cierta novela que ambos disfrutamos (o que él meramente disfrutó, mientras que yo sencillamente ADORÉ. ) hizo que todo ello fuese mucho más valioso. También encuentro la idea de Gabriel vestido como un monje dominico intensamente graciosa.

Así que, aquí los tienen de nuevo: después de haber encontrado su usual y escondido lugar de meditación, en la cima de una montaña, Gabriel el Monje (armado solamente de su confiable libro iluminado) continúa con su intento de convencer a su amigo de abandonar el camino que sigue y, así, salvar su pagana y pecadora alma de una condenación segura, aceptando la Verdad Absoluta e Indiscutible. Una Verdad que, por alguna razón, parece resumirse en algo parecido a: "Acepta la Palabra o CORRERÁ LA SANGRE”.

Muy abrahámico, ¿no les parece? (Denryuu sencillamente tolera su presencia, pese al hecho que encuentre la imagen en el libro de... pobre gusto)

(Por si acaso: la túnica de Den acabó siendo una pesadilla absoluta. Usé esta imagen como referencia: ¡todo un salvavidas!)

A super (super!) belated birthday gift thing I made for : thankfully, he’s quite aware I’ve been madly busy as of late (that crazy, classic “work + Master’s degree” combo is well known…! ).

For those of you who’re none the wiser (yet), let me tell you he drew a really awesome picture as a birthday gift for me, which you’ll find here. I found the subject rather intriguing, not to mention that the fact it’s basically a reference to a certain novel the both of us enjoyed (or rather, that he merely enjoyed and I freaking adored. ) made the whole thing all the more worthwhile. I, also, find the idea of Gabriel dressed up as a dominican monk intensely amusing.

So, here you have them again: after having found Denryuu’s usual, secluded meditation spot at the top of a mountain, Gabriel the Monk (armed only with his trusty, somewhat illuminated book) resumes his attempts at convincing his friend to give up his ways and thus, save his pagan, sin-infested soul from certain damnation by accepting the Absolute, Undisputable Truth. A Truth that, for some reason, seems to boil down to something akin to: “Accept the Word or THERE WILL BE BLOOD”.

Very abrahamic, wouldn’t you agree? (Denryuu simply tolerates his presence, despite the fact he might find the picture in the book somewhat… in bad taste.)

(By the way: Den's tunic turned out to be an absolute nightmare. I used this picture as a reference: a life saver, indeed!)
